2018 Volunteer of the Year

Volunteer of the Year –  Dr. Michael Irvine
Dr. Irvine has been organizing the “Friendship Run for PCH” since 2001. In that time, over $20,000 has been raised for medical equipment This is a much loved event in the running community as it combines an interesting course with a true sense of community.  The run has a dedicated following thanks to the ongoing dedication of Dr. Irvine. Mike loves this run and it shows. There are many runners who return to this event year after year and he strives to make this a run they enjoy .
The PCH Foundation is grateful for his ongoing dedication to the hospital – not only as an acclaimed physician, but as a partner in fundraising and friend-raising. They look forward to many more years of helping Mike and Marta with this wonderful event.
Mike is passionate about running, always supportive of others and quick to celebrate their success.
Dr. Irvine has been recognized by both the Medical Society of PEI and the Prince County Hospital recently for his contribution to his profession.
We are pleased to also recognize the valuable volunteer efforts of Mike to the PEI Roadrunners Club and are grateful for his dedication to us
