Volunteer of the Year 2019

Ensor McNeill!

2019 PEI Roadrunners Volunteer of the Year: Ensor McNeill

Ensor became a member of the PEI Roadrunners Club in 2017 and has been stepping up to lend a helping hand since day one. That first year, Ensor was awarded Rookie of the Year and the award citation noted that he could always be seen volunteering at races when not running.

In 2019, Ensor took the role of volunteer to the next level, by joining the PEI Roadrunners executive as Vice President. Ensor never hesitates to offer assistance wherever it is needed. At the mere suggestion of a task that needs doing, Ensor is there offering to take it on. This year he took over the role of calculating the points, and was able to provide running totals to our members throughout the race season. He also assisted with putting together the 2020 membership packages, and stored and coordinated the use of the Roadrunners equipment.

Not only is Ensor a huge help to the club, he is also just an all around nice guy. To quote the individual who submitted this nomination “Ensor is a person who always asks how everybody else’s run was, and makes people feel at home and a part of the club”.

Congratulations Ensor, and thanks for all you do! Someday we will present you with your fancy award and a lovely prize from award sponsor Gemini Screen Print & Embroidery!
