Senior Female Winner – Bev Walsh
Bev Walsh of Charlottetown is the senior female winner of the 2008 Hashems Variety Road Race Championship Series and the ADL/Sport PEI Senior Achievement Award.
Shelley competed in 14 races in 2008. She won one race, the 2008 Freeze Your Gizzard in Montague, and finished second in three races. Bev placed third in an additional 5 races in 2008.
A few of Bev’s highlights were:

A 21:36 - 5K at the Banks Financial Run

A 45:49 - 10K at the Bunny Hop

A 1:42:10 at the Fulton Campbell half-marathon

And a 3:36:27 at the PEI Marathon that qualified her for Boston
Bev is a strong and consistent runner. Rarely will you find her placing outside the top 5.
Bev finished with 171 out of a possible 174 points, and we are pleased to present her with this award.
